Lock screen with keyboard shortcut on your Mac

This has always been annoying, that no keyboard shortcuts locks the screen on my Macs. Different approaches were presented in Quickly lock your screen, but the best approach I have found requires you to install LockTight (now compiled for 10.6 too, see also How to lock your Mac with a keyboard shortcut).
