Android phone

June 24, 2009  |  mac, software, iphone, android  |  not published
I got my Android developer phone a few months ago (for projects at the lab), but this summer I also have to use it as my phone. First thing I did was to upgrade it to 1.5 following these instructions. I then reactivated myself as a Spanning Sync user to sync my iCal and Address Book with the Android phone. Since tethering now i easy on the iPhone (if your mobile provider allows it), my first task was to make this work on the Android phone. Not easy, but the tether Blue application seems to do the work. Start pairing the Android phone with your Mac, and then install the tether Blu Premium Edition application using SAM. No success with Android tethering so far, but I will update this posting when new lessons are learned. Someone has also created two Apple Automator workflows to sync the Android phone with iTunes.
